You don’t need to have everything figured out. WAYS case managers work alongside young people to sort through the practical stuff that’s getting in the way: housing, fines, Centrelink, school, family. It’s free, it’s confidential, and you don’t need a referral. Here’s what makes this different from a referral to another service:
Case management at WAYS is not a checklist. It’s a relationship.
Your first session starts with a conversation. Together we map every area of your life: housing, education, family, finances, mental health. You decide what matters most.
We turn the mind map into an action plan. You set the priorities, your case manager breaks big problems into steps and connects you with the right services.
Your case manager goes with you to appointments, advocates when needed, and follows up on every next step. Support runs for up to 6 months and you can re-engage later if things shift.
WAYS is an approved provider of Work and Development Orders (WDOs) in NSW. A WDO lets you reduce unpaid fines by up to $1,000 per month through supported activities like case management sessions, counselling, or education. All you have to do is talk to one of our case managers. We’ll explain how it works and help you apply.
Brent Logan – Case Manager
Brent has over 10 years’ experience supporting young people through homelessness, family breakdown, legal issues, and school disengagement. His approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, direct, and consistent. Many of Brent’s former clients still call long after their support has formally ended. That says a lot about the kind of relationship he builds.
“My job is to help you deal with the stuff that’s getting in the way – whether that’s housing, Centrelink, fines, whatever it is. We work it out together.”
Rachida Chemaou – Case Manager
Rachida has 5+ years’ experience with a culturally responsive, advocacy-focused approach. She specialises in early intervention, housing, and family support, helping young people navigate complex service systems. Rachida works especially well with young women and culturally diverse young people, helping them access systems that weren’t designed with them in mind.
“A lot of young people come in thinking they need to have everything figured out before they talk to someone. You don’t. We just start where you’re at.”
No. All Wellness Centre services are completely free. There’s no cost to young people or their families at any point.
No. You can refer yourself, or a parent, carer, school, or other service can make a referral on your behalf. All you have to do is call us or fill in the enquiry form.
That’s fine. Get in touch and we’ll have a conversation. We match you with the right person on the team, whether that’s a case manager, therapist, or psychologist. You don’t need to know which one before you reach out.
Typically up to 6 months, sometimes longer. There’s no hard end date. We review progress together and connect you with any further support you need. You’re welcome to come back after your time with us has ended.
Call us anyway. We can talk through what’s going on and help you think through options. Sometimes a parent reaching out is the first step, even if the young person isn’t ready yet. We’re used to this.
Yes. Everything discussed with the Wellness Centre team is confidential. The only exceptions are situations where there is a serious risk to safety. In those cases, we would always talk with the young person first about what needs to happen.
We primarily support young people living in Waverley, Woollahra, Randwick, and Bayside. We’re based at 63A Wairoa Avenue, North Bondi NSW 2026 and Tiffany Plaza, 422 Oxford Street, Bondi Junction NSW 2022. If you’re outside this area, get in touch and we’ll help connect you with the right support nearby.
Case Management at WAYS is free, confidential, and available now. No referral, no waitlist games. Just a simple enquiry to get started.
