MUSIC EVENTS @ WAYS
WAYS coordinates a number of live music events per year. Our drug and alcohol-free music events are specifically designed to showcase local talent and to provide young people with the opportunity to party safely in a supervised environment.
The WAYS Youth Committee is heavily involved in all aspects of event production – from planning to designing marketing materials. These events also offer the local community and councils to support these events with sponsorships and donations.
SOME OF OUR EVENTS HAVE BEEN:
- Bondi Blitz
- DJ dance parties
- Battle of the Bands
Bondi BLITZ is an annual community youth music event organised by WAYS with support from Waverley and Woollahra Council. It is an opportunity for WAYS to support and showcase emerging young bands, DJ’s and performers to a wider audience with a live music festival. During this event, we run small activity workshops that young people can participate in.
In addition, these events encourage local businesses and venues to engage with these artists for potential and future gigs.
