What do you do when the school day has finished, but your working day hasn’t?
How do you keep your child busy during the school holidays?
The answer for many working families of school-aged children is Out of School Hours Care (OOSH) and WAYS has introduced this new program permanently due to demand for the community.
WAYS vision is to LEARN, CREATE, INSPIRE AND EXCITE.
WAYS OOSH is more than a ‘child-minding’ service and is an alternative to traditional onsite after school care services that focus on helping kids learn new active/fitness activities every term with a relaxed and safe environment with staff who are passionate and from the local area.
WAYS OOSH consists of After School Care (ASC) and Vacation Care (VC) for children aged from 8-12 years old (Yrs 3-6).
We combine the traditional ASC program with recreational and learning activities that are in high demand for this age group. And our VC is a recreational and excursion based program over the School Holidays.

Murray started at WAYS in 2019 and has been grateful to be able to work closely with young people in the community. He enjoys an active lifestyle and is always keen to shoot hoops on the roof or have a bodysurf down at the beach. At WAYS Murray’s most in-demand skills are being first in for a game of tips and making cheese toasties, two tasks that he approaches with great care and enthusiasm.
Interests & Hobbies:
If Murray’s not at the beach or down at a basketball court, he might be going for a run or playing bocce with his friends. When Murray’s looking for some more quiet time he’s happy to have a read of a book or go for a fish. Murray’s looking forward to being able to go to concerts more regularly as he loves seeing live music.

Nick has been apart of the WAYS team since early 2022. A particular inclination towards developmental psychology and social psychology as well as a sense of connection to the community of Bondi and its inhabitants led him to become an educator in the OOSH team. He sees the role of enriching the youth with the tools to navigate their own lives as they slowly transition into functioning members of society as one of the most important roles within a community.
Interests & Hobbies:
Being a local for the last 12 years, the Bondi community has become near and dear to Nick’s heart. Whether it’s hanging out on the knoll, playing football on the beach, catching some waves or swimming across the bay, the lifestyle of Bondi is one that Nick revels in.
